What is RSS?
|
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute content, to a wide number of people quickly and simply with 100% delivery rate. Up until a couple of years ago it was used mainly for headlines but savy marketers are learning that just about anything can be delivered via RSS.
Articles, sermons, comics, recipes, training or coaching, product updates, affiliate training, government documents, white papers and we have even seen one person deliver a chapter of his book each week.
The beauty of providing your visitors with RSS feeds is that it will update on a regular basis thereby providing them with fresh content everyday. All the visitor needs is a reader. There are plenty of online readers however many choose to have one of the free desktop readers to access their feeds. RSS Response will also be providing branded readers for its customers.

What problem does RSS solve?
|
Most people are interested in many websites whose content changes on an unpredictable schedule. Examples of such websites are news sites, community and religious organization information pages, product information pages, medical websites, and weblogs. Repeatedly checking each website to see if there is any new content can be very tedious.
Email notification of changes was an early solution to this problem. Unfortunately, when you receive email notifications from multiple websites they are usually disorganized and can get overwhelming, and are often mistaken for spam.
RSS is a better way to be notified of new and changed content. Notifications of changes to multiple websites are handled easily, and the results are presented to you well organized and distinct from email.

Another Problem Solved.
|
The problem has always been that when people apply for a feed they usually get the last 10 or so entries which mean they miss out on some of the information you want to provide. RSS Response solves this problem by allowing you to create a sequence of feeds that are delivered over a specified time period you designate.
When a person applies for your RSS Response feed they all start at the beginning of the sequence. This is very powerful as you can take your reader through a process.

What is an RSS Auto Responder?
|
An autoresponder is a set of content related follow up messages a person can deliver in to anybody who requests it. They are delivered in a set sequence determined by you the publisher.
Example: You create a mini course on how to use Photoshop to create different text effects. Say you make 10 different tutorials on the subject and enter them into the autoresponder. You add each of those 10 tutorials in a separate file and deliver them one at a time to people who request them. You can add links back to your site or products, in fact anything you would use on a normal website.
You can then choose to deliver them at any rate you want. Maybe one a day or one a week. An autoresponder program will then deliver them automatically from the beginning to anyone who requests them for you.
The sequence always starts at number one and then delivers a new message at your predetermined time sequence until all have been delivered.
Email Autoresponders have been around for a long time and have been very effective, however with all the spam filters around and the need for double opt ins to approve the delivery of your messages the system is not as reliable as it was a few years ago.
RSS Responder is a new innovation that allows you to do exactly the same process except delivering via a RSS feed. You are guaranteed 100% delivery and your customers can receive them using any number of desktop or online readers.

Why an Autoresponder over a normal RSS feed?
|
If you understand how feeds work you know that if someone applies to your feed from your blog or website then they receive the latest content all in one go.
If you wanted to deliver a feed that everyone started from the same place then you would use an Autoresponse feed.
Example 1: You have a blog on video editing and you post regularly however you want to deliver a step by step course on how to edit videos with Sony Vegas. You would produce all the tutorials in your RSS Response account and provide the feed link on your site or blog. Every person who then applies for that feed will start at lesson one no matter when they download it. You just can't do this with a normal feed.
Example 2: You have an affiliate program for your products. You can create an automated follow up series taking your new affiliates step by step how to promote your products.
Example 3: You have a lot of good content on Internet marketing which you no longer use. You can enter all the information in a series and sell the feed for people to add to their blog. People are hungry for good content. You could call them PLR (Private Label Right Feeds)
RSS Response utilizes the power of Autoresponders with the great attributes of RSS Feeds
Where could this be used?
- Sell your information to others or through a membership site.
- Automate delivery of content to a website, blog, membership or desktop software.
- Deliver training, coaching and tutorials automatically. (100% delivery unlike emails)
- Provide free tutorials for other to use.
- Provide your affiliates and marketing partners with RSS feeds they can promote to their visitors to better promote your products and still make a commission. Amazon.com is already doing it. When are you starting?
- Mini courses and product training
- Use RSS to deliver audio content, such as .mp3 interviews, radio shows and even TV programs.
- Many companies are using RSS to deliver whitepapers and other educational content.
- Many internet publishers are using RSS to deliver their newsletters, as a supplement to their e-mail delivery. Since many people no longer want to give their e-mail address away to publishers, this is a great way to keep your e-zine readership growing.
- Create RSS autoresponders with scheduled messages, to keep in constant “marketing” contact with your prospects and slowly get them to the point of purchase.
- Provide limited-access content to your customers, employees, team members and even investors, without fearing other unwanted eyes. Use RSS for internal communications, teamworking and other needs.
- Anything you would send with an email autoresponder works better with an RSS autoresponder.

Making Money from your Feeds!
|
Using RSS Responder allows you to create feeds that you can charge for. Set up coaching or training courses that are delivered over a set time. You can also use the free method and incorporate ads.
Provide Content: Another great way to make money from RSS Response is to create series of feeds and allow people to automatically add them to their blog. People are always crying out for content and as long as you include good quality content the occasional add will be fine.
Product Reviews: This has always been a popular way to generate income. There are two ways you can do this.
- Do product reviews around certain topics like video editors, dating services, finances etc. Your income will come from the affiliate program associated with the review.
- Specific Products: There are a lot of products on the market that people use where there is little or bad documentation. Simply set up a series of tutorials on how to use that product and again money is made through the affiliate program.
Memberships: are a great way to generate a constant flow of income. With RSS response you can deliver a complete course over a few weeks, months or years.
RSS Response Affiliate: we will help you make money because at the bottom of every feed is a very small logo. If people click on that logo and sign up for the program you receive a commission.

Automatic Posting to your blog!
|
One of the main benefits of RSS Response is the ability to create a feed that you can then embed in your blog. We provide a custom tool for wordpress which allows you to add the feed that RSS Responder creates and then your feed will be published in your blog at the set time intervals you created.
This is a great tool if you are going away on holidays and want to keep your blog alive. After speaking to many bloggers we found that inspiration to write is not always on tap so you can write a series of feeds when your on fire and put them in the Autoresponder and have it publish for you automatically.
Companies and businesses do not always have the time to add new entries so let RSS Response do it all for you. Just add all your feeds into the system and let our software do the posting for you.
Be sure to check out the free feeds section where competent writers have already created feeds you can use on many different topics.

Why Would I use a RSS Autoresponder?
|
Many business already use email Autoresponders to deliver messages over a period of time to customers and clients. An autoresponder allows you to set up a number of sequential messages to be sent at predetermined times. Unfortunately many ISP and hosting companies now block these so the chance of your message getting through is diminishing at an increasing rate.

 |
Lets set up a situation.

The customer has a number of options to view your tutorials. They can view it in their browser using an RSS plugin, You can provide free or branded software and read it on their desktop or you could deliver it to a membership site or blog. What the Professionals Are Saying
"While RSS is an established technology, the growing popularity of blogs has catapulted RSS into the spotlight as a content personalization tool" said Jon Gibs, senior research manager, Nielsen//NetRatings.
"RSS feeds deliver relevant posts quickly, in a customizable, easy to manage format. These types of services provide marketers with an additional avenue to tap a captive audience for time-critical offers. Since the customers themselves pick the content they will receive, advertisers are able to deliver their message within a context they know will engage their target audience," he continued.
